Cuore del Sole x Medicine Body Studio – Summer Retreat
Cuore del Sole is a retreat space and an artist residency nestled in the serene mountains of the Cannobina Valley, Northern Italy. Housed in a beautifully restored alpine home, it offers an intimate setting for reflection, creation, and connection with nature.
Since 2022, in collaboration with Medicine Body Studio, Cuore del Sole has hosted the annual summer retreat “Sensory Body Landscape”. This four-day immersion invites you into somatic movement, breathwork, and embodied exploration inspired by the five elements.
Participants are invited to slow down, awaken their senses and energy, and immerse themselves in the surrounding landscape through guided movement, contemplative walks, and time in nature.
Together we explore what it means to move and be moved by the elements, listening deeply to mountains, water, trees, wind, and sun, rooting ourselves in a present, quiet awareness and learning from the wisdom of nature, replenishing both inner and outer resources.
This retreat fosters a deep reset of the nervous system, nurtures mind–body health and creativity, and deepens our connection with the natural world.

FACILITATORS
Chris Leuenberger is a breathwork facilitator, dance artist and yoga teacher based in Bern and Cursolo. Since 2008 he has worked as a freelance performer and choreographer in the independent dance and theatre scene. Besides his artistic projects, he has taught at yoga studios in Bern and co-organised retreats in Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
Currently he offers breathwork sessions (both in person and online). He also hosts retreats and residencies for artistic and somatic research in nature in Valle Cannobina, where he founded Cuore del Sole, an artist residency and retreat space.
Ko Jihae is a registered acupuncturist, dance artist and somatic movement practitioner based in Amsterdam. She has a diverse background in contemporary dance and choreography, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), somatic and energy healing. She works across disciplines, working through the body as the primary medium to bridge art and healing.
She brings her expertise through sensory energy practices. She is a co-founder of Medicine Body Studio where she facilitates ongoing sessions, workshops and research.
