What is a COV Check?
Medicine Body Studio utilizes the COV (Controle op Verzekeringsgegevens) service to verify a client’s insurance coverage at the start of a treatment relationship and when creating claims. This service checks if a person is insured with one or more health insurers and provides details to ensure that claims are correctly submitted to the relevant insurer. The insurance information is provided by health insurers and is updated daily.
Please note that the COV service is not used for identification purposes, such as verifying a client’s citizen service number (BSN) or date of birth. It is solely intended to confirm the insurance status and provider details.
To access the COV service, Medicine Body Studio must have an AGB code linked to VECOZO under the Zvw (Health Insurance Act). The service requires a personal certificate with specific authorizations when accessed through the VECOZO website. If COV is accessed through integrated software, a system certificate with COV authorizations or a permission statement to the software supplier is required.
